One report a month on what renters are being asked to pay across the United States: the national median by bedroom count, every state, the 100 largest rental markets, the most and least expensive big cities, how many listings have cut their price and how long they have been on the market.

The current month’s report updates every day and is marked month to date; once the month is over its figures are final. Month-over-month changes appear when the previous month’s report exists. How we calculate
